Clinical Psychologist

Contract position. $93 000 to $120 000 pa (Pro rata inc of superannuation)

We provide neurodevelopmental diagnostic services for children, adolescents, and adults. We are also soon to offer ongoing treatment services for our growing list of clients.

Houghton work's closely with the University's Clinic for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Research (CAN) and Headspace – Camperdown, offering opportunities for collaborative work and research.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our team, focusing on providing comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments and developing ongoing mental health treatment and advisory services.

The successful candidates will work alongside our paediatricians and psychiatrists to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
2. Administer and interpret a range of cognitive and executive functioning assessments
3. Provide recommendations for intervention and management of developmental conditions
4. Collaborate with paediatricians and other health care professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach
5. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
6. Participate in research projects within the Brain and Mind Centre

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years' experience in diagnosing Autism and ADHD
Proficiency in administering and interpreting assessments including but not limited to:

ADOS-2, ADI-R, ASRS & MIGDAS assessments
WISC 5, WIAT III, WPPSI
Conners and Vinelands
ASEBA questionnaires and assessments

Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA or appropriate clinical endorsement

Valid Working with Children Check
Professional Indemnity insurance
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong teamwork abilities
Commitment to evidence-based care

Desirable Qualities

Experience in multidisciplinary clinic settings
Interest in contributing to academic research
