About us
What we do at the Houghton Clinic
Our clients can have confidence that through our Clinic they will be able to access the latest information and the most up to date evidence-based research that can help inform future referrals and decisions about their future care options.
Best practice diagnosis
Seeking help to get a diagnosis can be a confronting and emotional time. At Houghton we aim to make this process as clear and easy as possible.
A single health professional, can diagnose a child with obvious signs of autism. Sometimes, a team approach maybe necessary for those with less clear symptoms or for those that have other conditions that make the diagnosis more complicated.
Through a personalised digital on-boarding system, we will help you work out what approach will work best for you.

Research opportunities
The Brain and Mind Centre (BMC) is a global leader in research treatment which focusses on conditions that affect child development and youth mental health.
It’s here that the Clinic for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Research (CAN Research), led by Professor Adam Guastella, works to find new ways to improve outcomes in schools, workplaces, healthcare settings, and the home.
CAN research has a range of clinical trials that look to find answers and interventions that offer real solutions and support.
We are proud to be able to offer our clients and community opportunities to be involved with projects that will see cutting edge research into real-world practice.
